John Dee (13 July 1527 – 1608 or 1609) was a noted English mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, occultist, navigator, imperialist and consultant to Queen Elizabeth I. He devoted much of his life to the study of alchemy, divination and Hermetic philosophy.
Dee straddled the worlds of science and magic just as they were becoming distinguishable. One of the most learned men of his age, he had been invited to lecture on advanced algebra at the University of Paris while still in his early twenties. Dee was an ardent promoter of mathematics and a respected astronomer, as well as a leading expert in navigation, having trained many of those who would conduct England's voyages of discovery.
Simultaneously with these efforts, Dee immersed himself in the worlds of magic, astrology and Hermetic philosophy. He devoted much time and effort in the last thirty years or so of his life to attempting to commune with angels in order to learn the universal language of creation and bring about the pre-apocalyptic unity of mankind. A student of the Renaissance Neo-Platonism of Marsilio Ficino, Dee did not draw distinctions between his mathematical research and his investigations into Hermetic magic, angel summoning and divination. Instead he considered all of his activities to constitute different facets of the same quest: the search for a transcendent understanding of the divine forms which underlie the visible world, which Dee called "pure verities".
Dee's high status as a scholar also allowed him to play a role in Elizabethan politics. He served as an occasional adviser and tutor to Elizabeth I and nurtured relationships with her ministers Francis Walsingham and William Cecil. The following video briefly introduces the 7 now-known versions of the Sigillum Dei Aemeth, which originated in a Grimoire of Pope Honorius from sometime in the 1500's. This video deals with John Dee's "Heptarchical Bonorum," or encryption system based on the 7 planets of antiquity. It was firstly introduced to the unfolded cross of 7 Bonorum letter square with 49 letters in each. The central, or first, square is only the letter "B," such that each of the 7-letter names of the Bonorum "Princes" derived by this method begins with the letter "B." These 49 "Princes," or names of 7 letters each, are then portrayed on a circle, as planetary attributes per planetary ruler, and next as a list of each planetary attribute grouped together. Next, by taking the 6 letters of each name not across, as rows, but along the circle, in columns, we derive 7 squares of 42 letters each, excluding the initial square of only the letter "B." These 7 squares of 42 letters each then intersort to form the names of 42 "Ministers" for each of the 7 planets. Finally, we look at this entire system of encryption as upon a cube, as Dee himself must have originally imagined it, and then speculate on the method of placing these attributes not on the outside of the box, but on the inner-walls, as a method for deriving Dee's later "Enochian" system of magic.

This video introduces us to the Enochian material as it was applied by the Golden Dawn, a 20th century group of occultists and magicians who studied John Dee's works. We begin with a basic introduction to some concepts essential to understanding the Golden Dawn applications to Dee's work. First we look at the model of the Pentagram of the Elements as applied to the Zodiac. Second we consider the model, reprinted by Aleister Crowley in his "Book of Thoth," of the 7 planets and the 7 days of the week. Comparing these two we yield new insights into both, and I have colour-coded both to make them easier to visualise. The colour-coding for the 7 planets of Crowley is given as the division of light by a prism, while the colour-coding for the Elemental Pentagram and Zodiac round given by Mathers derive from the so-called "King's" and "Queen's" scales of colour, given by Aleister Crowley in his book "777."

This video introduces the Table of Union, a chart used by the Golden Dawn to relate the four elements by rows and columns, thus rendering 16 squares, which we see can be attributed to the royal cards of a tarot deck's lesser arcana, or by Enochian letters. We also introduced to the method of "squaring" each square, that is, labeling each square's sides as well as its centre. Thus, the elements along the columns above are labeled on the left side of each square, and the elements upon the rows below are labeled on the right side of each square. To derive the elemental labels for the other two sides of the squares, we look to deciphering the four Elemental Watchtowers by applying this method. We find that by substituting the Tetragrammaton (Hebrew 4-letter name of God) for the four elements, S.L. MacGregor Mathers has given us an ingenious code to solving the attributes per each square or letter of the four Elemental Watchtowers. We find that by resorting of elements by rows and columns, each square on the four Watchtowers has its own unique recombination of elements.

He caused uproar in 16th-century Europe with his 'angelic conversations' - and he inspired the character of Prospero in William Shakespeare's The Tempest and the main character in Christopher Marlowe's Dr Faustus. But was Dee really 'a conjurer of wicked and damned spirits' or simply the dupe of a clever con man?

Note 1:The word ELOHIM (אֱלוֹהִים , אלהים, sometimes pronounced Al-Eim) is transliteration of EL-AUM, or simply OM with the addition of aleph (א), - and known as praṇava प्रणव in Sanskrit or "OM syllable. Targum (תרגום) opens the mystery of Elohim IT IS DEITY IN THREE SEPARATE STATES (not HEBREW ONE GOD, not CHISTIAN TRINITY, but originally VEDIC SHIVAIT TRINITY from where the mystical meaning and concept of Divinity transformed into a Hebrew Elohim (Al-Eim). The word and the whole paradigm-concept Elohim - the "OM syllable, was literally borrowed from Aryan Runic and later Vedic Sanskrit. Really, nothing new was brought to the world, taking in consideration that even Sanskrit is much older than Hebrew. Since Vedic Sanskrit derived from Slavic Aryan Runic as a language, the concept of a mystical or sacred OM syllable, called also Sound of Divinity (АУМ in Aryan Runic) was known at least 40,000 if not 160,000+ years before it was mentioned in TORAH, which was written down approximately 1000-1500 years ago (LENINGRAD CODEX), not 3,500 as scholars delude us to believe. The following is rather a story with different angle behind the Enochian alphabet - the alphabet of Angels or Elohim (EN). - Only gene pools empowered by compassion get sufficient braid recursion to penetrate the time lines...These bodies of magnetic arc-angles sewn recursive (breathable) are indexed by the sequence of turns superset language to Annunaki's simple tetra-Hebrew (Saurians took it from Sivaits): the hypercubic symmetry set of magnetic tilts called Ophanim Angel Alphabet: Enochian Keys. (See the symbols on Star Gate, see also book: "Enochian Physics...) The superset of original Bible letterform was the Ophanim "Enochian" language of John Dee. These symbols on Star Gate, being the hypercube superset of Annunaki's tetra, solve the implosion and time sustain and soul problem, but require feeling. NOTE 2: Greek alphabet derived from Slavic Aryan, not the other way around, since originally Greeks were ancient Slavs, who later intermixed with different races (EN). Then reading down in the Ophanim alphabet tables like tic tac toe, we discovered the letters read: Ureil, Gabirel, Michael, Ophaniel, Exekiel, etc. This suggests that our ANGEL NAMES were simply symmetry turn instructions for how to cookie cut biology's magnetics into black holes. Literally, the Angel Names are the symmetry turns for light bodies to squirt into time. These letters were the actual glyphs used to make the movie Stargate. This is how the Ophanim Angels become light bodies incubating black holes through stars. This is also how people can become stars, as perfect embedding permits. (Nest into a membrane then steer it.) The Greek alphabet (geometry letter number values) was the key to the puzzle. To be a star you have to make gravity (centering fractal attractive force) for yourself in your own heart. When the DNA implodes with the hearts sonic ponytail (braiding algorithm) embedding makes the gravity we use to slingshot ourselves from heart of plane to the sun to the stars. If we understand the story, John Dee learned most of the languages of Earth, and then said I need to understand true Angel language. An Ophanim Angel knocked on his window, handed him of grey green magnetic stone sphere. This egg Ophanic communication device is in the British museum today. Some clairvoyance enabled the perception of a symmetry alphabet inside, which became the true physics of magic. Now we learn that the quantum cookery symmetry implicit here is the true hypercube implosion symmetry. No coincidence these were the symbols on stargate. These are the play-dough cookie cutters necessary to thread magnetism non-destructively thru implosion (time and death). They are useful for organizing the magnetism of glands and optical cortex hologram to enable shamanic star penetrance. This would be how Ophanim angels as magnetic clouds recursive enough to be self aware thru black holes, glue star births together sustainably. Reputation and significance About ten years after Dee's death, the antiquarian Robert Cotton purchased land around Dee's house and began digging in search of papers and artifacts. He discovered several manuscripts, mainly records of Dee's angelic communications. Cotton's son gave these manuscripts to the scholar Méric Casaubon, who published them in 1659, together with a long introduction critical of their author, as A True & Faithful Relation of What passed for many Yeers between Dr. John Dee (A Mathematician of Great Fame in Q. Eliz. and King James their Reignes) and some spirits. As the first public revelation of Dee's spiritual conferences, the book was extremely popular and sold quickly. Casaubon, who believed in the reality of spirits, argued in his introduction that Dee was acting as the unwitting tool of evil spirits when he believed he was communicating with angels. This book is largely responsible for the image, prevalent for the following two and a half centuries, of Dee as a dupe and deluded fanatic.
Around the same time the True and Faithful Relation was published, members of the Rosicrucian movement claimed Dee as one of their number. There is doubt, however, that an organized Rosicrucian movement existed during Dee's lifetime, and no evidence that he ever belonged to any secret fraternity. Dee's reputation as a magician and the vivid story of his association with Edward Kelley have made him a seemingly irresistible figure to fabulists, writers of horror stories and latter-day magicians. The accretion of false and often fanciful information about Dee often obscures the facts of his life, remarkable as they are in themselves.
A re-evaluation of Dee's character and significance came in the 20th century, largely as a result of the work of the historian Frances Yates, who brought a new focus on the role of magic in the Renaissance and the development of modern science. As a result of this re-evaluation, Dee is now viewed as a serious scholar and appreciated as one of the most learned men of his day.
His personal library at Mortlake was the largest in the country, and was considered one of the finest in Europe, perhaps second only to that of de Thou. As well as being an astrological and scientific advisor to Elizabeth and her court, he was an early advocate of the colonization of North America and a visionary of a British Empire stretching across the North Atlantic. The term "British Empire" is in fact Dee's own invention.
Dee promoted the sciences of navigation and cartography. He studied closely with Gerardus Mercator, and he owned an important collection of maps, globes and astronomical instruments. He developed new instruments as well as special navigational techniques for use in polar regions. Dee served as an advisor to the English voyages of discovery, and personally selected pilots and trained them in navigation.
He believed that mathematics (which he understood mystically) was central to the progress of human learning. The centrality of mathematics to Dee's vision makes him to that extent more modern than Francis Bacon, though some scholars believe Bacon purposely downplayed mathematics in the anti-occult atmosphere of the reign of James I. It should be noted, though, that Dee's understanding of the role of mathematics is radically different from our contemporary view.
Dee's promotion of mathematics outside the universities was an enduring practical achievement. His "Mathematical Preface" to Euclid was meant to promote the study and application of mathematics by those without a university education, and was very popular and influential among the "mecanicians": the new and growing class of technical craftsmen and artisans. Dee's preface included demonstrations of mathematical principles that readers could perform themselves.
Dee was a friend of Tycho Brahe and was familiar with the work of Copernicus. Many of his astronomical calculations were based on Copernican assumptions, but he never openly espoused the heliocentric theory. Dee applied Copernican theory to the problem of calendar reform. His sound recommendations were not accepted, however, for political reasons.
He has often been associated with the Voynich Manuscript. Wilfrid M. Voynich, who bought the manuscript in 1912, suggested that Dee may have owned the manuscript and sold it to Rudolph II. Dee's contacts with Rudolph were far less extensive than had previously been thought, however, and Dee's diaries show no evidence of the sale. Dee was, however, known to have possessed a copy of the Book of Soyga, another enciphered book.
At Elizabeth I's request Dee embraced the old Welsh 'Prince Madog' myth to lay claim to North America. The well known story was of a young Welsh prince who discovered America in 1170, over three hundred years before Christopher Columbus's voyage in 1492. The fact was that Elizabeth I had little interest in the New World and Dee's hopes were premature.

Battle of White Mountain The Battle of White Mountain, 8 November 1620 (Bílá hora is the name of White Mountain in Czech) was an early battle in the Thirty Years' War in which an army of 15,000 Bohemians and mercenaries under Christian of Anhalt were routed by 27,000 men of the combined armies of Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor under Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Count of Bucquoy and of the Catholic League under Johann Tserclaes, Count of Tilly at Bílá Hora, near Prague (now part of the city). Born in 1946, author and explorer Terence McKenna has spent the last twenty-five years in the study of the ontological foundations of shamanism and the ethno-pharmacology of spiritual transformation. McKenna, the founder of Novelty Theory, graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a distributed major in Ecology, Resource Conservation and Shamanism. After graduation he traveled extensively in the Asian and New World Tropics, becoming specialized in the shamanism and ethno-medicine of the Amazon Basin. The executive chairman of Google has rejected accusations that the internet search company fixed its search results to favour its own products and services.
Eric Schmidt was responding to claims on Wednesday by some members of the US Senate Judiciary Subcommittee's anti-trust panel that Google had grown into a dominant and potentially anti-competitive force on the internet.
"May I simply say that I can assure you we're not cooking anything," he said.
The subcommittee is looking at whether Google abuses its market position while the US Federal Trade Commission is also investigating the same issue.
Google faces a further continuing investigation by the European Commission.
Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett, reporting from Washington, said: "Senators accused Google for manipulating search tools, so Google products always end up higher up the search results."
Mike Lee, a Republican member of the senate panel, said during the hearing: "Google is in a position to determine who will succeed and who will fail on the internet.
"In the words of the head of the Google's search-ranking team, Google is the biggest kingmaker on Earth."
Google has been broadly accused of using its clout in the search market to stop rivals as it moves into related businesses, like travel search.
Google is trying to convince regulators and US legislators that it does not need restrictions placed on its growing portfolio, and that its business practices are legal and good for consumers.
Google controls more than two-thirds of the global search market. But Schmidt argued that specialty web sites, like those with restaurant reviews and travel search, give Google stiff competition.
In a reference to Microsoft, which faced nearly two decades of legal scrutiny for anti-trust violations and various fines, Schmidt said: "We get it. By that I mean, we get the lessons of our corporate predecessors."
Schmidt was Google's chief executive officer for 10 years until April this year, when he vacated the post for Larry Page, the company's co-founder, in April.
Schmidt now serves as executive chairman and oversees government affairs.
